Rep. Jayapal launches 2018 with Vashon Island Town Hall
District 7 Congresswoman Pramila Jayapal launches 2018 and hosts a town hall on Vashon Island Tuesday, January 23, 6:30 p.m., at Open Space for Arts and Community, 18870 103rd Avenue SW, Vashon, WA.
The first of multiple town halls Jayapal plans to host in 2018 across Washington’s 7th District, Jayapal’s Town hall offers opportunities for constituents to raise concerns, learn what actions are being taken in Congress and discuss the path ahead in 2018 and beyond.
Last year, Jayapal hosted eight town hall events in the district and three skype town halls.
Elected in 2016, Jayapal represents Washington’s 7th District, which encompasses most of Seattle and the surrounding areas, including Vashon Island, Lake Forest Park, Shoreline, Edmonds and parts of Burien and Normandy Park. Jayapal serves on the House Judiciary Committee and the Subcommittee on Immigration and Border Security. She is also the Vice Ranking Member of the House Budget Committee and the First Vice Chair of the Congressional Progressive Caucus.
