“Dragon Country” Slays (yes, we went there)

Last night, Civic Rep previewed “Dragon Country,” their first production in residence at Open Space.

The four plays were a fascinating blend of comedy, experimental theater, and drama, all from the pen of Tennessee Williams, a master of the craft. But in addition to the scripts, the set design, light design, costuming and production of the show were unique. It’s a truly beautiful production, and the arrangement of the space creates an intimate theater experience.

Open Space is so proud to see this production at Vashon. It’s a rare treat to see Williams’ short work on the stage. But to be able to stage it here, for the arts-loving community of Vashon, means a lot to us.

Now that the preview is over, the show runs this Friday – Sunday and next Friday through Sunday. You can get tickets here. And check out some of the photos from the production below!
