Liquid Light
Liquid Light Returns
After a glowing 2021 premiere, Open Space for Arts and Community and production company CymaluX have teamed up to bring the island the return of Liquid Light, an ongoing series of light shows designed to delight all ages. This event is open to the community and the cost of admission is a donate-what-you-can donation.
Created by combining curated music and laser-generated imagery, Liquid Light is not your traditional laser light show. Presented by lighting artist David Marine, Liquid Light synthesizes light and music by creating glowing, abstract real-time images with fully synchronized sound. Projected on the Douglas Fir grove at Open Space, the ever-changing shapes of light and color pulse and dance to the music. This natural theater springs to life with hypnotic music and light to the delight of all.
The Liquid Light excitement begins at 7:30pm on September 3rd at Open Space for Arts & Community. Gates open at 7:30pm, and music will be playing for hanging out, visiting, and early bird dancers. Full laser show begins at 8:30pm. Guests are invited to bring food and non-alcoholic drinks to enjoy with the show. Please leave your pets at home but bring your favorite folding chair, pillows, comfortable blankets, and dancing shoes! Those with lawn chairs will be seated further back so that folks on blankets can see. Questions can be directed to info@openspacevashon.com. Admission is by donation. Walk-ups are welcome, but if you plan to attend, please RSVP at below.
