Tiny Fairy House Exhibit Opening
Look Closely!
Enter a World of Magic on June 25th
This spring, Open Space teamed up with Vashon MakerSpace to commission makers, dreamers, artists, and craftspeople to create a new artistic experience: a village of intricate fairy houses for all to enjoy. The outdoor exhibit opens to the public June 25th, 2022 at 4pm at Open Space for Arts & Community.
Look Closely: The Tiny Fairy House Project of Open Space’s !Attention! Artists at Work initiative (AAW) brought together 10 Vashon artists to create tiny fairy houses tucked among the trees in the Douglas fir grove at Open Space for Arts & Community. Participating artists include Adam Ende, Anic Neely, Carolina Silva, Desiree McIntyre, Jonathan Hunter, Kate Munson, Madeline Morser, Ren Colvos, and others.
After months of designing and crafting the elements of each fairy house, the artists have begun to install the fairy houses into their permanent village in the grove of trees behind Open Space. Come and join us on June 25th at 4-6 PM for the art opening of “Look Closely.” We welcome everyone in the Vashon community to look closely at the wonders of fairy and faerie.
Look Closely: The Tiny Fairy House Project is free and open to the public. Open Space will be accepting donations. The exhibit opens at 4pm. Visit OpenSpaceVashon.org to learn more.
