Let’s Dance!

A Musical Tribute to David Bowie

Join Vashon World AIDS Day in conjunction with Open Space for Arts and Community in support of World AIDS Day 2019. Rock along with local musicians during Let’s Dance! A Musical Tribute to David Bowie, on December 1st at 4:00pm, with doors opening at 3:00pm. Let’s Dance! will benefit local HIV-AIDS and LGBTQ causes. Island musicians performing the music of David Bowie include Rebekah Kuzma, Kevin Joyce, Chai Ste Marie, Jon Whalen, Arlette Moody, Lou Mangione, Filson Sisters, Martin Feveyear, Louisa Moody & dancers, Tony Mann, Jonathan Kuzma, Michael Monteleone, The Rev and 14/48 musical director Adam Creighton.

Vashon World AIDS Day was formed in 2018 to acknowledge and celebrate lives lost to AIDS on Vashon Island, WA, and to remind islanders of the ongoing struggle against AIDS in the regional, national and international community. Let’s Dance! is the second annual World AIDS Day event held at Open Space, inspired by the turnout and success of the Freddie Mercury-themed World AIDS Day fundraiser last year.

Beverages and concessions will be available for purchase. Tickets are $15 advance, $20 at the door, and $30 for front row reserved tables. A limited number of free advance youth (18 and under) tickets are available online. Seniors are $5 off advanced and at the door. No one will be turned away for lack of funds.
