About the Event
Winter Solstice Sound Bath & Holly King Tea Ceremony
with Attune
Celebrate the transition of shortening to lengthening days, historically represented in Druidic traditions by the Holly King passing the torch to the Oak King.
We will begin with an hour of sound bathing. Through the sounds of chakra attuned singing bowls, gong, rhythmic drumming, and chimes your bioenergetic field (the aura) is gently cleansed and your nervous system shifts into a parasympathetic state (rest and digest). We know from research the benefits beyond rest include lowering blood pressure and cortisol levels. This provides a sense of balance and calmness, leaving you feeling well rested. Our Solstice sound experience will be a fully improvised production wth melodies inspired by the warming and relaxed feeling of falling asleep by a warm fire.
We will then have a tea ceremony featuring locally grown and harvested herbs which focus on warming your body…
