Aerial 1
Summer students will continue to build on skills they've developed in previous aerial classes including skill building, strengthening, and conditioning. Students will be introduced to different apparatus and focus more on control and technique.

Aerial Intro
In this class students will learn to climb, do foot keys and develop the proper body form to build strength to climb and do tricks in the air. Students need to be good listeners and have a good sense of focus for this class in order to safely learn aerial.

Partner Acro
We will build the fundamentals of handstands in this class. We will cover techniques of mat acrobatics, build strength and flexibility and begin to focus these skills toward partner acro. Prerequisite: Acro Gymnastics 1 and 2, or by instructor permission.

Aerial Tumblers
We will learn some fun basics on aerial sling and general tumbling as well as gaining the strength, active flexibility and mental focus required to move on to Aerial Intro. Students will learn body shapes like plank, hollow body, tuck, pike and straddle, as well as how to safely hang and invert. We will begin with gymnastics games and then focus on tumbling skills including front and backwards roll and cartwheels. We will learn a few basic aerial tissue climbs in prep for aerial intro.

Parkour Basics & Tricks
Students will learn the foundational movements of parkour through a series of fun games and obstacle courses. These games teach safe movement techniques while helping students develop strong social emotional skills of cooperation, teamwork and leadership. In parkour games students develop balance, strength, discipline, self confidence, and leadership. Bring loose clothing and be prepared for a fun challenge!

Parkour Games & Obstacle Courses

If you’re interested in expanding your hoop skills, flow, transitions, and strength- this is for you! In this class you’ll be learning hoop combos that will make you feel performance ready- some beautiful spins to accompany combos- and a few basic dynamic moves!

In this Silks Intensive camp we will be focusing on building strength and stamina in the air with sequences that involve intricate wraps, as well as some fun drops. This workshop is for Aerial 2 stundents and above that are comfortable inverting in the air.

In this camp we will be learning how to stretch safely using both passive and active progression stretches. We will alternate between flexibility and strength training, when our muscles are both strong and flexible we protect our joints and increase our range of motion. This workshop is for anyone looking to gain more flexibility.

A chance for aerialists to practice their skills in an unstructured session under the supervision of one of our lovely aerial instructors!

Jiu Jitsu Lab - Adult
Jiu Jitsu Lab is an adult, all levels meetup. Martial Arts instructors Bobby Dodd and Sean Lang will lead these sessions along with other high ranking Vashon martial artists and guest grapplers dropping in to share their knowledge. The class will work with a variety of grappling arts, namely Jiu Jitsu, Judo, and Wrestling. Classes begin with dynamic warm ups, practicing flowing movements, and stretching. Instructors will walk students through new techniques and provide coaching as students learn with a partner.

Adult Basic Parkour Workshop
Parkour is the art of overcoming obstacles: running, jumping, climbing, and playing like a monkey. Hopefully most of you got the chance growing up to climb trees, jumping over logs and play physically, but as we “grow up” and become adults we often lose connection with natural movement and physical play. Parkour means a lot of things to different people, but to me it’s fundamentally a structured way to embrace play. In this workshop you will learn parkour movements including basic rail balance, quadrupedal movement, and vaulting. We will apply these skills all together with a game and course. Regardless of your previous movement experience the parkour skills will be broken down into manageable progressions anyone can work on. Requirements: Excited willingness to learn something new.

Ages 16+
Backflip Intensive Level 1
Have you always wanted to do a backflip, but never quite felt safe? Then this workshop is for you! In this intensive workshop Abraham will take you through how to do a standing backflip. Abraham has been teaching parkour, freerunning, acrobatics and more for over 10 years. The standing backflip will be broken down into safe, manageable steps, to ensure you feel comfortable with each drill and progression. The workshop will start with mobility, activations and drills, then participants will take turns working up to spotted backflips. Abraham teaches backflip using the two person spotting method. Participants can expect to complete assisted standing backflips by the end of the workshop and occasionally students complete unassisted backflips. The workshop is limited to eight spots to accommodate lots of specific work with each participant. Requirements: Moderate strength and physical control.
